About EstatePlanner.sg
EstatePlanner.sg is an independent Singapore estate-planning authority hub. We publish plain-English guides to wills, Lasting Power of Attorney, CPF nominations, trusts and Muslim wasiat under Singapore law — anchored to public regulators (CPF Board, OPG, MUIS, MinLaw) — and offer a free 3-minute assessment to match readers with verified estate-planning providers.
What we do
Singapore estate planning is poorly served online. Most existing content is either (a) marketing copy from individual law firms, or (b) lifted from foreign jurisdictions without checking Singapore-specific rules (Wills Act, AMLA, Intestate Succession Act). EstatePlanner.sg fills that gap with two distinct functions:
- Authority content. Every legal rule on this site traces to a public Singapore regulator or statute — see /sources for the full citation list. We publish definitive guides to LPA, CPF Nomination, Wills Act execution requirements, Faraid, intestate succession, HDB inheritance, and expatriate cross-border estate issues.
- Provider matching. A free 3-minute assessment quiz routes interested readers to a verified Singapore estate-planning provider — currently First Light Estate Planning Pte Ltd (estate-planning consultancy, not a law firm) — for follow-up consultation.
What we are not
EstatePlanner.sg is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice and are not an “authorised person” under the Singapore Legal Profession Act 1966. The information on this site is general consumer guidance; for advice tailored to your specific circumstances, consult a Singapore-admitted lawyer or qualified estate-planning professional.
We do not own, operate or franchise any of the providers we match readers to. Provider services are a separate engagement directly between you and the provider, governed by their own terms.
Editorial standards
- Citations to primary sources. Every statistic, legal rule and procedural claim links to a public regulator, statute or authoritative dataset. See /sources.
- No fabricated reviews, ratings or network claims. Compliance with the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003 and ASAS Singapore Code of Advertising Practice is enforced by an automated audit script on every commit (
scripts/audit-sg-compliance.cjs). - Pricing transparency. Indicative SG market ranges are documented in our pricing reference (
src/data/pricing.ts) and shown with the “verify with provider” caveat. - PDPA compliance. Every form surfaces explicit PDPA disclosure text adjacent to the submit button and names every disclosure recipient in /privacy.
How we are paid
EstatePlanner.sg is free for consumers — we do not charge readers for content access or matching. Our named-partner provider pays us a referral fee per matched lead. We have no incentive to misrepresent the partner's services and a strong incentive to match readers accurately (mismatched leads damage both sides).
Compliance + regulatory scope
- Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) — data handling, lead-form consent
- Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003 (CPFTA) — no fabricated claims
- Legal Profession Act 1966 (LPA) Part 5A — we are not authorised legal practitioners
- Legal Profession (Professional Conduct) Rules 2015 r14 — publicity
- ASAS Singapore Code of Advertising Practice — testimonials and endorsements
- MAS / FAA — we do not provide regulated financial advice
